Acceptable Use Policy - TauCAD Limited
Effective date: December 29, 2025
1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the TauCAD Limited software service (the "Service"). This AUP is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By using our Service, you agree to comply with this AUP.
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
2. General Conduct
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Terms of Service. You are responsible for your conduct and any content you create, upload, or share through the Service.
3. Prohibited Activities
You shall not use the Service to:

| Abuse & Harassment | Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate users; engage in bullying; promote violence or discrimination based on protected characteristics |
| IP Violations | Infringe copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets; upload content you don't have rights to; remove proprietary notices |
| Deceptive Practices | Impersonate persons or entities; create fraudulent accounts; engage in phishing or social engineering |
| Unauthorized Access | Access unauthorized parts of the Service; collect information without authorization; use unauthorized bots or scrapers |
| Service Abuse | Exceed usage limits; circumvent restrictions; resell access without authorization; damage or impair the Service |
Pseudonymous accounts are permitted provided that required contact information (email, billing) is accurate.
4. Content Standards
User Content must not contain or promote:

| Illegal | Promotion of illegal activities; content breaching legal duties; IP infringement |
| Harmful | Threatening or abusive content; privacy violations; harassment |
| Spam | Unsolicited advertising; unauthorized promotional material; spam or phishing campaigns |
5. AI-Generated Content
When using our AI-assisted features, you are responsible for:
- Reviewing and verifying AI-generated output before use
- Ensuring AI-generated content complies with this AUP and applicable laws
- Not using AI features to generate prohibited content
- Not attempting to manipulate AI systems to produce harmful outputs
6. CAD-Specific Guidelines
When using our CAD features, you shall not:
- Create designs primarily intended for weapons or devices to cause physical harm, or items prohibited by law
- Upload or generate content infringing third-party design patents, trade secrets, or IP rights
- Reverse-engineer proprietary designs without authorization
- Share or export designs in violation of export control regulations (see Section 6.1)
6.1 Export Control Compliance
Certain CAD designs (aerospace, defense, encryption, dual-use items) may be subject to export control regulations including U.S. EAR, ITAR, and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions.
You are solely responsible for:
- Determining whether your designs are subject to export restrictions
- Obtaining required export licenses before sharing controlled designs
- Complying with sanctions and embargo requirements
We reserve the right to restrict access from embargoed countries or regions as required by law.
7. Child Safety
We have a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and content that exploits or endangers children.
Prohibited: Uploading, sharing, creating, or distributing content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse; sexualizes minors; or facilitates contact with minors for sexual purposes.
Enforcement: We will immediately remove such content, report to NCMEC and authorities, permanently terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement.

8. Reporting & Enforcement
Reporting Violations
Report content or behavior that violates this AUP to support@tau.new.
Enforcement Actions
Violations may result in:
- Warning or notice
- Content removal or restriction
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent termination
- Reporting to law enforcement
Appeals
If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, contact support@tau.new with:
- Description of the action taken
- Reason you believe it was in error
- Relevant context or evidence
We will respond within 10 business days. Decisions following appeal are final.
No Monitoring Obligation
While we may monitor and enforce this AUP, we are not obligated to do so. Users are encouraged to report violations.
